Hospital History

Cantonment Board General Hospital ( CBGH ) is a 75 bedded non-dietary hospital run by the Cantonment Board, Deolali . It is headed by Medical Superintendent. CBGH provides medical facilities, not only to more than 60,000 residents of Deolali but it caters to large population residing in nearby villages also.
Cantonment General Hospital was established in 1933. Old IPD complex was raised in 1942. The present building of OPD/ IPD Complex was constructed in 1983 and was funded by “Shri Vikyomal Shroff” of Deolali.
New Laboratory and Blood Bank Complex was raised in 1988 and was renovated in 1997. New OT (Operation Theatre) Complex was constructed in 2004 along with X-Ray Department, Sonography Department and Well-equipped Operation Theatres (03) with recovery room.
A new Pharmacy building was added to Hospital complex in 2018 , which was constructed through kind donation from Shri Vasudeo Shroff.
Dialysis center in CBGH will be made operational shortly as the building has been constructed and machines have been procured. However the operation was put on hold due to onset of Covid-19 pandemic.
CBGH is proud recipient of Director General’s Award for outstanding health services in large hospital category for the year 2010-11.
Adding another feather to it’s cap CBGH received Raksha Mantri award fo r excellence 2020 for excellent performance in the category “ Public Health: Challenges of Covid”

Ankur Centre For Differently Able Children

Cantonment Board has started Ankur School (Remedial and Training Centre for Special Children) on 7th May 2010. At prs26 students are taking education from this school. 02 special educators, 01 caretaker, 01 driver and 01 cleaner are appointed. For Special Children we are giving physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. Also we are teaching special activities like Music, Dance, Craft, Drawing and Hand Designing. Seasonal work also being done from the students like Greeting Cards, Envelopes, Rakhees, Candle Lamps and Lanterns. We also provide Bus facility, Books and School Equipments to the students. Student also participate in competition.
